Leader or Artist?

This is a marverlous course on Udemy. It is the man whom I consider a mentor after taking his #altMBA and being eager to jump at the opportunity to take this leadership program.


So here goes Leadership notebook Prompt #1

In early 2000’s a friend was recently back in Italy after attending university in California. He was involved in importing US produced Supplements into Italia and the remaining other EU countries. Diego was very good at and business was even better. Until issues began arising from lax borders in Netherlands which allowed products not legal to enter the EU to make this point of entry. Credibility was damaged and measures to best manage the existing relationships could have been deployed.

Instead Diego to a chance. Diego took a leap. Diego made a ruckus. Diego started a brand. He started a brand that would do anything it did #remarkably and with #Italian flair.

#Gustoitaliano was born.

Diego had a idea, a change he wished to make. ART he wished to put into the world and say- This is my passion , this is my Love, This is my soul. Please enjoy it as much as I enjoy creating it!

I have never witnessed ART in a tangible dietary supplement until my relationship with my brother Diego began. He does not create for everyone. He creates for “someone”. If Fellini created a brand it would be a story that would shine Fluorescent yellow.

With this he showed leadership in creating the movement. Follow me.

For me a example of leadership would have to be what I am considering my T2 evolution. I look at everything from a worldview of “How can I provide the means, encouragement, empathy and inspiration that allows someone to be a rockstar!”

Its a way of looking at my role as sales director differently than a traditional managerial role. I have worked with the “Uninspired” and I must tell you its absolutely depressing. Set “Red lines” then encourage and assist but allow and encourage earnest failures and mistakes. We need to encourage learning environments. As I type this I am planning to hire (4) interns for phone/remote regional sales broker positions that  can learn with and from. If thats you- lets talk! I am not a expert. I am by no means possessing all the answers but I am on the path to being a better version tomorrow than today and helping others as well- well that would be pretty awesome.
